Role Purpose

The Client Business Advisor is the primary owner of every client relationship at Collective. This seat orchestrates all work product, sets the strategic direction of each engagement, and is the face of Collective to the client across all service lines. In the Grove & Grain practice, this seat delivers executive coaching and leadership consulting. With the manager layer consolidated into this seat, the Advisor also owns secondary QC authority, systems and tools design, and hiring/firing/performance authority for all execution seats.

All execution seats — directs work through Supervisors; holds HR and performance authority firm-wide.

  • Advisory board leadership and client-facing strategy communication
  • Tax and financial planning recommendations and client communication

  • Secondary QC review of all accounting and tax work product
  • Systems design, tools deployment, and workflow optimization across all execution functions
  • Hiring, firing, and performance review authority for all execution-level seats

Seat 3 — Accounting SupervisorOwns primary QC on accounting close work; the Advisor signs off after Supervisor primary review. The Advisor also holds HR and performance authority for this seat.
Seat 4 — Tax SupervisorOwns primary QC on tax returns and estimates; the Advisor signs off after Supervisor primary review. HR and performance authority lives here.
Seat 5 — Technology OrchestratorProject-activated technology support across all service lines — the Advisor commissions and reviews technology deliverables.
Seat 8 — Client Service AdministratorCSA owns intake, assembly, and Tier 2–4 production POC. The Advisor sees the CSA as the production backbone supporting every engagement.
